Trustee
Peter A. Arntson retired with 55 years of legal experience. His practice was devoted primarily to estate planning and administration, with a particular emphasis on the taxation of trusts and estates. His practice also included forming and advising partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, closely held businesses, private foundations and public charitable organizations. He is the Founder and for many years President of the Wakefield High School Education Foundation, a former Director and Trustee of the Benedictine School for Exceptional Children and its Foundation, and served for many years as an initial Trustee of the Arlington Community Foundation and a trustee of the Northern Virginia Community Foundation, and was a member of the Executive Board and more recently the Advisory Board of the National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, as well as an Eagle Scout and recipient of the Silver Beaver Award.
Mr. Arntson received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Virginia, and a Masters of Law in taxation (LLM) degree from Georgetown University Law Center and is a graduate of the United States Army War College. He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel.
